Don't Starve on the 3DS

Recommended Posts

I think Don't Starve on the 3DS would be awesome! You could use the stylus to move and pick up things just like the mouse, or you could run around with the Circle Pad. You could play Don't Starve anywhere you wanted to... sounds great. I know it probably can't happen but I was just thinking about this today and wanted to hear your guys's thoughts.

I believe @WalrusMan has already mentioned something before.

EDIT: but honestly, it does sound like a great Idea. They could start out small, and as system updates comes, which would expand the SD card, they could update the game.

You suggested the WiiU. It won't happen. That's already been confirmed.

The 3DS wouldn't be able to handle the processing that takes place in DS, even if they stripped it down. The graphics are not the major issue here. The issue is the fact that with a couple dozen things happening on-screen a low-end computer will lag.

Definitely a good idea, but like mentioned above, I don't think the 3DS could handle it. While the graphics seem somewhat simplistic in Don't Starve, I'm sure the complexity of the game world just chews up processing power.

I play DS on PS4 and although I do not have a PS Vita, I believe DS is compatible with remote play. So there is some portability there.
